What It Is

GOES daily peak X-ray flux 1975-2016 (NGDC NOAA, 15098 days). 22.7% quiescent at the 1e-9 W/m^2 baseline, sparse B/C/M/X-class events to max X28 (Nov 2003). Forest-Fire-style phenotype: metastable baseline with rare extreme excursions. Tests whether the atlas detects 'slow accumulation + sudden discharge' as a universality class spanning exotic+astro domains

Interpretation

Standard analysis sees: heavy-tailed; right-skewed; few distinct values; time-irreversible (sharp rises, slow decay); multifractal; low-dimensional; nonstationary / drifting. The atlas finds no named structure, but the source is distinctively extreme on Attractor Reconstruction:lyap_sum (-3.9z) — beyond what the standard bank predicts for it.
