P-wave arrivals from 80 earthquakes (M3.0-5.4, 111-498 km) at IU.ANMO --- 40 sps broadband vertical --- impulsive, anti-persistent (low Hurst)
Interpretation
Standard analysis sees: heavy-tailed; left-skewed; red spectrum (low-frequency / 1-over-f power); time-irreversible (sharp rises, slow decay); nonstationary / drifting. The atlas finds no named structure, but the source is distinctively extreme on AutoRegressive:ar_coef_3 (+4.8z) — beyond what the standard bank predicts for it. It sits beside Speech "Nine" in the atlas (standard-bank rank 51) — a neighbor conventional features miss.
